Gibor Group Inc. comes with years of experience in successfully delivering projects to Indigenous organizations. We are committed to reconciliation and are dedicated to advancing the rights and interests of Indigenous communities by ensuring they have the best tools to build strategies that work for them.
We have a clear understanding of the challenges caused by complex colonial regulatory environments and policies, funding shortages, health inequities, and bureaucracy that negatively affect service delivery. As such, we are committed to intentional co-design and collaboration with Indigenous governments, health authorities, and community leaders to help redesign health systems, optimize service delivery, and improve the outcomes of health and social programs to better meet the holistic needs of community members.
We believe in meaningful engagement and building genuine partnership as the best solutions are found when all voices are heard and when people work together in a respectful and meaningful way. This means trust, respect, and patience to ensure that decisions are led by Indigenous and advances priorities identified and defined by communities. Examples of some types of work completed with both remote and urban Indigenous communities include:
- Successful proposal development and submissions for Choose Life programming, physician assistants for remote communities, midwifery projects, and other provincial and federal funding opportunities
- Community health needs assessments
- Development of health and wellness plans
- Reviews of programs including mental health and substance use programs, health programs, health department, and primary care
- Development of medical directives for nurses in community
- Development of program policies and procedures
- Strategy development: creating sustainable strategies as a means of advancing inherent and treaty rights
- Leadership, organizational, and workforce capacity development and training
